Workgroups

Starting in October 2019, three stakeholder workgroups will be charged with developing actionable, scalable, and sustainable strategies to improve statewide encounter data reporting in three areas: Governance, Data Standardization, and Technology & Technical Assistance. Each workgroup will be facilitated by two co-chairs and include representation from providers, health plans, health information technology vendors and intermediaries, and government agencies across California’s encounter data ecosystem. Members will be identified through a nomination process, with rosters determined based on each workgroup’s specific subject matter needs.

Each workgroup will meet five times between October and February to confirm priority areas for solution development, develop strategies to address issues, and test and refine recommendations for presentation at a Closing Summit in Spring 2020. Materials developed for and by each workgroup will be publicly released for comment by all interested stakeholders. Workgroup members will also solicit feedback from their industry networks throughout the solution development process.
